Updates

Hi all,

Hope everyone is keeping well and that you got to enjoy St. Patrick's Day a little bit at home with each other!

I'm just attaching a few little helpers for the coming weeks. Expect further updates with regard to online teaching and tasks in the near future.
Feel free to email any pictures of the creative tasks or activities you get up to at home and we can post them up on the blog to keep you all connected.

Home School - Daily Schedule

Before 8:00 AM
Wake up!
Make your bed, eat breakfast, brush teeth, get dressed
8:30-9:00
Outdoor Time
Family walk or outdoor play
9:00-10:30
Academic Time
No Electronics! Reading, homework, study, puzzles, journal
10.30-10.40
Snack Time
Eat a small snack, listen to a song – play musical statues
10:40-12:00
Creative Time
Creative play, drawing, Legos, crafts, music, cooking, baking
12:00-12:30
LUNCH

12:30-2:30
Academic Time
Electronics OK! Educational games, online activities, virtual museum tours
2:30 – 3.00
Quiet Time
DEAR Time, nap, puzzles, yoga
3.30-4:00
Home Chores
Clean rooms, put away toys, take out garbage, pet care
4:00-5:00
Outdoor time
Family walk or outdoor play
5:00-6:00
Dinner time
Family dinner, help with clean-up and dishes
6:00-8:00
Free Time
TV, Reading, Relaxing, Bath or shower
9:00 PM
Bedtime
Put on PJs, brush teeth, clothes in laundry

Scoilnet Primary is a website with a wealth of resources for research    www.scoilnet.ie    Pick a topic and encourage them to  do another project.

Maths: counting, matching, numbers, pattern making, sounds, rhyming  See topmarks.co.uk for great activities. Use the time at home to revise tables and topics. Mathletics is a website full of fun Maths games. Children can play against each other and work on all of the skills they have learned already.  mathletics.com   mangahigh.com

Film reviews are a great activity if children are watching and re watching movies -  review worksheets can be found at Twinkl.

Sarah Webb, known author is also running a daily creative burst challenge - inspire your child to become a creative writer by taking on some of her challenges! 

Toontastic https://toontastic.withgoogle.com/ is a great creative storytelling app! Check it out!
