Welcome note and Homework

Hi all!

Welcome to the 1st class Blog! We hope everyone has settled back into school okay.  On the blog we will update the homework every week and post different notes and activities that might be taking place.

In 1st class homework should only be taking roughly 25mins. 10mins for maths, 10mins for spellings and 5mins for reading. If you find that homework is taking longer then this please stop it after 25mins. Make sure the homework environment is as distraction free as possible.

Listen to your child read every night. Ask them questions about their book and fill in the running record sheet. For the next 6 weeks the children will be getting a new book a night from their team teacher.
